Sunset Sunrise - Endings and Beginnings

Where has the time gone? Flew to Darwin to await the arrival of my first grandchild and also to do some teaching. That was in mid May and now it is mid July. I am now a proud Omi to a beautiful baby boy.

Sunsets seen from a balcony in Brinkin are always gorgeous especially with good friends and a glass or two of red wine.

The sun rises on another lovely, crisp day in East Gippsland on my last morning in Australia for 8 weeks.

Off to a conference in New Orleans tomorrow. Then some time visiting a friend in Canada, chatting, drinking, laughing and getting to know her neighbourhood. Lastly a few weeks with my sister in Germany. Plenty of blog material coming up.

How lucky am I? So many joys to be had in the everyday. I have had time with family and friends in Darwin, First Sunday Blues at the Pints Club. Today I saw daffodils growing along the railway line on my trip into Melbourne and lambs gambolling in luscious green pastures.

About my blog

I am a planner, list maker, organiser and worrywart but for the first time ever I am throwing myself out into the universe without a job, but with ideas, optimism and support from family and friends. I am leaving the loving embrace of my beautiful children, the familiar, the known and the comfortable after 37 years of life in the Northern Territory.  A new segment of my life is about to begin. I know where it starts but not how it will unfold. This blog will be my companion, listener and memory keeper of this journey.
